2013 READATHON

IT'S TIME!
2013 READATHON

Despite a mere five hours of sleep, a birthday party, and two Little League games to squeeze in, A Reader's Respite is GAME ON for the readathon.  We realize that there is a high probability of falling into a coma dozing off at some point throughout the day, but if you'd like to follow along and watch the ridiculous lengths we will go to in order to stay awake and READ, you can hop on over to our Tumblr page or follow us on Twitter (@readersrespite).

You're guaranteed a laugh if nothing else.

And don't forget to stop by the Readathon Blog to see what everyone else is doing or check out the Facebook Event Page!

  3. I hope you have an amazing day and good luck for the Little League games :)
I've been told cold water is as effective as coffe to keep you awake just in case you don't want too much caffeine in you

  4. Sounds like you have a lot going on so I hope you find some cracks in your schedule to read (hopefully without falling asleep!). Drink some caffeine, but not too much!

  5. Just get through it one book at a time. By the way, I'm curious as to what books made it on your list. If you feel like dozing off, tweet me (@travelingreadr) so I can give you that much needed poke. Hehe

  7. You are a brave reader with all of that other stuff going on! I really enjoyed checking out your tumblr - I am considering using your childcare techniques...

  9. You are a better woman than I. I had a volleyball game, shopping, a party for my husband and I and one to take my son to, and I knew that was going to kill the readathon for me. I'll probably have too much wine, and I'll get home late (son's party ends at 11!!!) so whatever. I will cheer you on in spirit! Maybe I'll get to do it in the fall.

  13. I can't believe I lost track of your blog. I was trying to stay in with all the Michelles, or Micheles. LOL! I saw you on Twitter on the #readathon and went...doh! I stopped using Google Reader quite awhile ago and was trying to subscribe to blogs via email. Obviously, I forgot a few. Anyhoo, how are you? Still keeping the skies safe?

Hope you're enjoying the read-a-thon and getting lots of reading done. I'm now following via email so I'll be stopping by again. =O)

  14. Oh my gosh! It's so good to hear from you! I did the same thing re: Google reader, so I have been slowly catching up with people and adding them to the new reader. I'm so happy to "see" you again....yes, I'm still a menace to the skies, ha ha, and made the mistake of choosing the LONGEST books for the readathon....geez louise.

  15. I always choose long books...read-a-thon or not. It's an affinity. ;O)
