Big News!

For those of you who haven't heard the news, A Reader's Respite is retiring.  Sort of.  Actually, we've been absorbed (for lack of a better word) into the new online literary magazine, The Lit Asylum

The Lit Asylum is a monthly, online magazine that explores all things books.  Please come visit, say hello, and enjoy some of the great articles we have for you in September!

  2. Due to time constraints, I only visit your blog every few weeks or so. Checked today and saw the retiring post, then not retiring. Under no circumstance are you allowed to retire. WHere else would i find an honest review of books i may be interested in? I've always been an avid reader but i had no idea how much i would love historical fiction. Now I know I do , thanks to you!! Furthermore, you review every type of book, so when i need a break from one type i can try something else. THank you, I need a little honesty in my life.

  3. I was sad -- too much respite, not enough reader, but then retirement?! Nooooooooooooooo! I'm so glad you changed your mind. xoxo

  4. How is Viggo working out for you as secretary?
You know, when he worked for ME, it was always like, "I need Friday off" or "I have a bit of a cough this morning, can't come in" and stuff like that.
ONE THING OR THE OTHER, it seemed!
    Everything but just SHOWING UP!
Finally, we just had to let him go.
