Not sure about all of you, but nothing gets A Reader's Respite's blood pumping like a good library sale. We mark the sale days on our calendar with a big, red Sharpie, obscuring other less-important notes such as child vaccination appointments, mom's birthday, our anniversary, etc. We do have priorities, after all.
So how smart are the folks over at Book Sale Manager? They've created this uber-cool database that hooks up you (the reader) with them (the libraries who sell off their excess books).
Check it out.
Thank me later.
I love library sales! That's how I feed my addiction when finances are tight and I can't buy brand new books.
ReplyDeleteNice!! I got an awesome copy of Pride and Prejudice from a library sale :)
ReplyDeleteNo, I'll thank you now! Library sales are a wondrous, beautiful thing. Doctor's appointments be damned.
ReplyDeleteWow! I'll bookmark this site. I just checked and there is a huge one coming up nearby, but it's over labor day weekend, so I don't know if I'll get to make it.
ReplyDeletethanks for the head's up on this website!
I take a vacation day every year from work to go to ours...it's huge...and I LOVE it!
ReplyDeleteYou have just reminded me that I saw about a month ago that a library sale was coming up soon somewhere nearby. I need to look that up again! Hopefully I did not miss it in all the business of the new job! That would be a bummer.
ReplyDeleteI wish we had something like that here :)
ReplyDeleteLove Library Sales! We have so fortunate in New England to have so many to choose from! Another great sale site is www.booksalefinder.com - I could go to multiple sales every weekend, if I could just find the time!
ReplyDeleteOh, for pete's sake, I must be typing faster than my brain is working. I meant "We ARE so fortunate". Ugh.
